Day of the public health department

19 March 2023 is the Day of the Public Health Department. This day was first proclaimed by the Robert Koch Institute in 2019. 19 March is the birthday of Johann Peter Frank, a doctor and social physician born in the mid-18th century who is considered the founder of the Public Health Service (ÖGD).

Presentations are planned on various topics related to the work of the health department as well as counselling and hands-on activities. The range of events covers all areas of our work with a focus on paediatric and youth medical services and hygiene.
