Meißen district - seven-day incidence falls below threshold 10

01.07.2021

The new Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance comes into force on 1 July 2021. Among other things, it stipulates that the previous restrictions, with the exception of certain basic measures, no longer apply in a district if the seven-day incidence reaches or falls below the threshold value of 10 for five consecutive days. This is the case in the district of Meißen. In accordance with the requirements of the ordinance, the district of Meißen has published the required announcement on its website under News under Announcements(http://www.kreis-meissen.org/3345.html).

From Thursday, 1 July, almost all protective measures (e.g. contact restrictions) will therefore no longer apply, with the exception of the hygiene concept and a few protective measures for particularly sensitive areas or areas where a particularly large number of people come together. Facilities with particularly vulnerable groups of people, such as retirement and nursing homes and hospitals, are exempt from the relaxations. Masks are also still compulsory in areas where large numbers of people meet in confined spaces, for example in shops, services close to the body, local public transport, school transport and care services. In addition, masks and testing are still mandatory at major events, indoor testing is mandatory in discos and testing is mandatory for seasonal workers.
