From Wednesday: extended mask requirement

Today, the district of Meißen exceeded the seven-day incidence value of 10 for the fifth day in a row. The corresponding announcement can be found here. This is associated with an extension of the obligation to wear at least one medical face mask on the day after next.

From Wednesday, 1 September 2021, masks will therefore be compulsory in all publicly accessible and enclosed spaces (e.g. when shopping and in facilities of all kinds), when picking up directly in front of the respective facility and for visitors to courts and public prosecutor's offices. From Wednesday, medical face masks must also be worn by tradespeople and service providers in and in front of the client's premises if other people are present.

The obligation to wear masks remains unchanged in the area of passenger transport, for services close to the body and at major events. In addition, employees of outpatient care services/palliative care and employees of facilities for the care and accommodation of the elderly, disabled or people in need of care and their visitors must continue to wear masks. The regulation on wearing FFP2 masks or comparable respiratory protection masks when providing care, treatment and support in accordance with the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance also continues to apply.
