Full closure of Meißner Straße from 3 May 2021

Meißner Straße between Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße and Spitzgrundweg will be fully closed from 3 May 2021 until the end of the year. The road will be fundamentally expanded, including the laying of new media.
For this reason, extensive diversions for road traffic will be necessary. Traffic in the direction of Coswig/Meißen will be routed via Moritzburger Straße, Altlindenau, Dippelsdorfer Straße to the S 81 n motorway. From there, further signposting will be provided using the existing signage. A further diversion signposting leads via Cossebauder Straße to the S 84 n to the Coswig exit and then via Friedrich-List-Straße in Radebeul to Coswig. This latter diversion will also be signposted for traffic travelling in the direction of Dresden from Coswig.
Due to the bridge work being carried out by Deutsche Bahn on the railway bridge over Cossebauder Straße at the same time and the resulting restricted clearance height of 3.50 m, a separate diversion via Kötitzer Straße will be in place for larger vehicles for some time.
There will also be traffic restrictions in the area of the Meißner Straße/Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße junction for a period of approx. 5 weeks. During this time, this area will be regulated by roadworks traffic lights.
