Click & Meet: City administration provides all Radebeul traders with a free online appointment module

Since 8 March 2021, all retailers in Saxony have also had the opportunity to reopen their shops to customers - but by prior appointment. As the practical implementation of this procedure can be very time-consuming for retailers and customers, Radebeul town council would like to support local retailers in this endeavour. "The city council has set up an online diary for all Radebeul retailers who would like to open their shops in this way. Customers can now use this to book their appointments with the participating shops. The retailers can manage the calendar themselves, enter the duration, number of possible dates and opening hours and, of course, link the calendar to their own websites," explains Mayor Bert Wendsche.

Customers can select from the list of participating retailers and book their appointment via the joint homepage www.einkaufen-radebeul.de. They will receive a confirmation email and - if the appointment is still a while away - a reminder email. "The service is free of charge for all Radebeul retailers and is intended to help our local economy get back on track," says the mayor.

"Although most of us have already gained a lot of experience with online services in recent weeks and months, there are also a large number of people who refuse to use them or have no technical means of doing so," says Bert Wendsche. We don't want to exclude these people from these first tentative opening opportunities. That is why we are setting up service points on both Hauptstraße and Bahnhofstraße, which customers can contact directly to make an appointment for Radebeul shops," Wendsche continues. There is also a central hotline where customers can make appointments by telephone Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.: 0351 8311-999.

This offer of support for Radebeul's retailers is embedded in the "Kauf Lokal" appeal, which the city council is once again making to all Radebeul residents this year. Back in 2020, the city supported the city's retail sector with an image video and a poster campaign and asked all residents to support the local shops in Radebeul.
