"Zur Tonne" meets Radebeul on 16 July 2020

08.07.2020

30 per cent of all edible food ends up in the bin these days. A shocking figure. The number of unreported cases is certainly even higher, as there are also studies that put global waste at up to 40 per cent or even 50 per cent.
The Dresden project "Zur Tonne" has therefore set itself the task of promoting an awareness of the responsible use of food, more shared enjoyment and fun when trying things out. To this end, the project links up with the Dresdner Tafel food bank in order to process food that is not for sale in retail outlets and to reach those who enjoy freshly cooked food. Good, balanced, flavoursome meals that leave people full and satisfied. This project idea is now also being established in Radebeul.
In collaboration with Radebeuler Tafel e.V., the Radebeul Family Centre, KUKÜ e.V., VHS Radebeul, the municipal library, the Office for Education, Youth and Social Affairs and the Equal Opportunities Officer, "Zur Tonne" would like to invite and bring together all Radebeul residents on a summer evening: About the dishes you eat together and get into conversation.
The Radebeuler Tafel e.V. provides the food and we cook together what is available. We exchange ideas about different ways of preparing various foods and get to know each other. Afterwards, there is a large table where the freshly prepared food is enjoyed together. This evening will be enriching for everyone involved: on a personal level and also in terms of content. Because we learn a lot from each other through enjoyment.
When: Thursday, 16 July 2020 from 6.00 pm Where: on the forecourt of the Radebeul Kultur-Bahnhof, the bad weather option is in the Radebeul Kultur-Bahnhof, Sidonienstraße 1c, 01445 Radebeul.
All those involved in the project are happy to receive a donation.
