Waste calendar 2021 - easy to use digitally

The waste calendars for the coming year will no longer be distributed directly to all households. This decision was taken by the committees of the Zweckverband Abfallwirtschaft Oberes Elbtal (ZAOE) in order to reduce costs and the consumption of resources for the production and distribution of the waste calendar in the long term. Because not everyone actually uses the calendar.

Many citizens have already discovered that all important waste disposal information can be found on the association's website. The waste calendar is also available completely electronically. Either ready to print out yourself or as a street-specific series of dates to import into your personal calendar, for example on your smartphone. With the reminder function, no more waste disposal is missed.

The dates for the collection of hazardous waste and Christmas trees are also available digitally. The nearest collection point can be found quickly using the map view. The collection of bulky waste and old electrical appliances from the property can be easily ordered online. If you have any questions about correct disposal, a glance at the comprehensive waste ABC is often enough. The association hopes that the digital services will be even more widely used in the future.

Anyone who still needs a printed calendar will be able to obtain one from December at the city and municipal administrations, citizens' offices, all ZAOE recycling centres and the association's office. From November, the association will provide information on exactly where to obtain the calendar on its website or on request via the service telephone.
