Major extension of Seestraße in Radebeul between Gartenstraße and Dresdner Straße

03.08.2020

The city council of Radebeul has prepared the planning for the structural expansion of Seestraße between Gartenstraße and Dresdner Straße and put the construction work out to public tender at the end of June 2020. The measure is necessary due to the poor structural condition of the road and pavements. As a result of the public tender, the company Jens Hausdorf GmbH from Kleinnaundorf was awarded the contract for the construction work.
In addition to the fundamental expansion of the road pavement in asphalt construction and the renewal of the road drainage system, the pavements are to be newly constructed with a concrete block paving surface. WAB R+C (Wasser Abwasser Betriebsgesellschaft Radebeul + Coswig GmbH) is to renovate and partially renew the neighbouring combined sewers and connecting pipes as part of the project. In addition, further services of the media carriers, e.g. energy supply, will be coordinated.
The share of the city of Radebeul in the total construction costs of around € 726,000 is approximately € 340,000.

The preparatory construction work is scheduled to begin on 17 August 2020. The work will require the complete closure of the Seestraße road section from Gartenstraße to Dresdner Straße during the construction period. Pedestrian access is to be maintained throughout the entire construction period. The neighbouring retailer "Feinkost SPINA" is to remain permanently accessible. The construction work should be completed by the end of 2020.
