New neighbourhood manager for the Radebeul West redevelopment area

19.11.2019

Astrid Hadan has been working as district manager for the redevelopment area in Radebeul West since 1 November 2019. She is taking over the helm from Nadine Wollrad, who stepped down for health reasons.
Mayor Bert Wendsche called it "a happy coincidence" and explained: "Mrs Wollrad was able to achieve a great deal through her commitment to the redevelopment area. We very much regret that we are losing her as neighbourhood manager. On the other hand, I am also glad that we were able to fill this huge gap so quickly. With Ms Hadan, who now represents the traders in the redevelopment area as well as the restaurateurs and tradespeople in Altkötzschenbroda, there are completely new opportunities for the Kötzschenbroda area."

Ms Hadan has also been the spokesperson for the Altkötzschenbroda cultural and advertising guild since the beginning of 2019. "From our point of view, it is important for Kötzschenbroda that the guild and the traders on Bahnhofstrasse work closely together and market themselves jointly," explains the new district manager. "We are delighted that 10 traders from Bahnhofstrasse have already applied for membership of the guild." The advertising guild had previously cleared the way by amending its statutes, which previously only allowed members who were based in Altkötzschenbroda. The traders in the redevelopment area are thus also implementing an important point from the traders' mission statement, which was developed together with the city and the consultancy firm u|m|s stadtstrategien. Speaking with one voice" and the "development of their own brand" were seen as key elements for the success of the redevelopment area. "The offerings of the tradespeople in the redevelopment area and the offerings in Altkötzschenbroda complement each other perfectly and have actually always formed a unit. So far, the only thing that has been lacking is joint coordination. We are now going to change that", says Hadan. The first major joint campaign will take place in spring 2020. "We will celebrate spring and our merger with a street music festival under the motto "Kneipen Kunst und Kötzschenbroda"", explains the neighbourhood manager. "We already have lots of ideas, we are itching to get started together."
