From the Orion Nebula to the Black Hole (Life Cycles of Stars)

Event for secondary schools and grammar schools

The lecture shows the life cycle of a star from its formation in a cloud of gas and dust to its end as a white dwarf or black hole. The Herzsprung-Russel diagram is presented. These fusion processes, as well as the parameters that determine the life of a star, are discussed in more detail.
