Traffic opening 1st construction phase Meißner Straße

Construction work on the first section of the Meißner Straße road construction project in Radebeul-Ost has been completed on schedule thanks to the commitment of everyone involved.

The section of Meißner Straße (between Gleisschleife Ost up to and including the junction of Meißner Straße/ August-Bebel-Straße/ Zinzendorfstraße ("Zu den Linden") will be reopened to traffic in the course of 30 April 2024.

Construction work will continue in the 2nd construction phase from the beginning of May until the end of 2024. This begins west of August-Bebel-Straße and ends at Eduard-Bilz-Straße. In the construction area, the tracks, carriageways, cycle paths, pavements, overhead lines, street lighting and underground supply and disposal lines will be renewed while Meißner Straße is completely closed. The Hauptstraße stop will be made barrier-free. In order to enable rapid construction progress, some of the work to relocate the media has already been carried out in recent months.

From 30 April 2024, Meißner Straße west of Zinzendofstraße will be fully closed up to and including the junction with Eduard-Bilz-Straße. Hauptstraße and Eduard-Bilz-Straße will then be signposted as dead ends towards Meißner Straße.

The diversion route will run in both directions via Zinzendorfstraße, Sidonienstraße, Pestalozzistraße and Schildenstraße until the end of the overall measures.

The buses of the rail replacement service will continue to use the existing diversion routes.

Furthermore, the one-way traffic regulations for Kiefernstraße/ Sidonienstraße and Gartenstraße will be cancelled again during the construction period. The main road regulations will be changed for the Sidonienstraße/Zinzendorfstraße junction.
