Karl May's tomb
Karl May's tomb was created between 1902 and 1903 based on an idea by his second wife, Klara Plöhn. The ancient Nike temple on the Acropolis in Athens served as a model. The tomb design came from the Serkowitz architect Paul Ziller, while the construction was carried out by Ziller Bros.
Karl May, whose wish was actually to be buried in the garden of his property, was buried in the crypt on 3 April 1912.
Friedrich Eduard Bilz's tomb is located directly next to May's grave.
