Museum celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of the Hoflößnitz Wine Museum

In addition to the two town charter anniversaries this year, a third centenary is joining the ranks:
The Viticulture Museum was also opened in 1924. The Hoflößnitz Association, which was founded specifically for this purpose, acquired the property and began renovating the building. Once the wine history collection had been established, the museum was opened at Whitsun 1924, initially as the Oberlößnitz local history museum.
This Sunday, 19 May 2024, there will be a museum festival for the whole family to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the wine museum.
An excerpt from the programme:
- Free museum tours for young and old
- 14.00: Puppet theatre for children
- 16.00: Concert by the Lößnitz Choir
- Savoury and sweet treats
- Plant exchange and information stand "Wildbees" organised by BUND
- 11.00 - 14.00: Children's workshop with artists from the region
- Live music, bouncy castle, pony rides and creative activities
- "Auf ins Museum" - an exhibition by Radebeul primary school pupils
Admission to all museum festival events is free!
In addition, 3 special limited edition medals have been issued to mark the 3x100 anniversary. The medals are available as single medals or as a set of 3 at the Tourist Information Radebeul, Hauptstraße 12.
