Special timetable between Dresden and the Elbland region for the time changeover

21.03.2023

Summer time starts again next weekend. "Despite the time change, passengers don't have to worry about their connections," emphasises Torsten Roscher, timetable planner at Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (VVO). "Everyone will get to their destination safely by bus and train on the night of 25 to 26 March." The VVO's regional night bus service runs as usual from Dresden city centre to the surrounding area.

On Sunday night, the clocks will be put forward by one hour from 2 am to 3 am. "Because there is therefore no Postplatztreffen at 2.45 a.m., the regional night buses will run from Postplatztreffen at 3.45 a.m. to the surrounding area," says Torsten Roscher. "The night bus from Postplatz via Cossebaude and Gauernitz to Meißen therefore leaves Dresden at 3.47 a.m. after summer time." Night owls from Moritzburg and Radeburg get home from Postplatz at 1.15 a.m. after winter time and 3.50 a.m. after summer time.

"Radebeul and Meißen are also easy to reach on the last S-Bahn train from Dresden," explains Torsten Roscher. "The train leaves Dresden at 1.05 am and reaches Meißen-Triebischtal at 1.44 am. The return journey to Dresden departs at 1.51 am."

Further information on the timetable and fares is available daily from the VVO information hotline on 0351 8526555, on the Internet at www.vvo-online.de/nachtverkehr and from en route at www.vvo-mobil.de.
