Looking forward to Christmas on the 3rd Advent weekend in Radebeul with Arnold Böswetter

14.12.2023

One week before Christmas, the excitement is building and the village green in Altkötzschenbroda is getting really cosy once again. The Radebeul family Christmas market "Lichterglanz & Budenzauber" invites you to get caught up in the Christmas spirit. With firelight, festive treats and, of course, atmospheric music, you can leave everyday life behind and make room for Christmas contemplation. The musicians from Krambambuli and Tam Tam Combony kick things off on Friday evening. With their Christmas music and dancing around the Christmas tree, cold feet are certainly not an issue.

On Saturday, "Colorage" will be playing Christmas music, actively supported by Arnold Böswetter. From 7.00 pm, he invites you to join in the traditional Christmas carol singing. Together with the visitors, he sings the most beautiful songs of the Advent season at the Christmas fir tree and occasionally even gets carried away into a little dance. To the music of the "Elbzigeuner", the voices of young and old, Radebeul residents and guests, unite to form a large, family Christmas choir. Beforehand, he will give a presentation in the puppet show booth and talk about his favourite Christmas toy. He tries to pass on pre-Christmas tips to children and Father Christmas. A firework display of exquisite and not necessarily imitable tricks and hacks that not only bring joy to the children. Meanwhile, the Friedenskirche is a more contemplative place. From 6.00 pm there will be a musical vesper with chamber music by Stephan Pätzold and Peter Kubath.

On the 3rd Sunday in Advent, the family centre will once again be hosting Advent for families. In addition to home-baked stollen, young and old can make their own torches.

If your feet get cold, you can find a warm and exciting place in the fairytale cellar of the vicarage or in the Christmas workshops and craft rooms, where industrious elves can make the last presents. "Krambambuli" delights us with Christmas music.
