Wasastraße - felling of an old chestnut tree

At the Wasastrasse/Friedhofstrasse junction, vehicles can currently be parked under the overhanging canopy of an old chestnut tree. The old tree was regularly maintained in the past due to its great importance.
However, large areas of fungal growth have become visible at the base of the trunk. It is no longer possible to preserve the chestnut tree. Replanting is planned as compensation.
